Be Jealous
Be very jealous.

I just came back from a 4 hour lunch with my boss, his fiancee, her mother, and my colleague, at Shangri-la Hotel, on the company.

*hic*

I am the freaking luckiest intern ever.
Good boss.
Good colleague.
Good boss's fiancee, who's probably kinda boss too (since she made the decision to hire me).
Good advice from boss's fiancee's mother about love.
Damn good food. (seafood, jap, italian, indian, malay, dimsum, meats, DESSERTS)
Many photos.
Looks of delight and utter surprise when I gave presents to them.

Going out later.

Wah, life is going very well right now. Like Pat said, Enjoy it while it lasts ;)
Very very well =)

Lesson
Lesson learnt remembered today:

Don't cross busy CBD road with speeding cars which create much wind when wearing a short skirt.

no, nothing happened (today). it's just a lesson ;p

[edit] I just remembered I was walking the same junction in the CBD 6 yrs ago when I first learnt this lesson. So today was revision. argh.

Imagine your car door falling off while you drove.
And then your carplate falling off and striking your bumper (I'm not car expect, but I suspect this is technicallly impossible, but work with me here)

Imagine that happening to your freaking space shuttle.

bloody hell.

Rainbow Connection
Well, since neither of us can remember how Route 66 sounds, this'll have to be ours =)

Why are there so many songs about rainbows
and what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
and rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it.
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Who said that every wish would be heard
and answered when wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that and someone believed it.
Look what it's done so far.
What's so amazing that keeps us star gazing
and what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

All of us under its spell. We know that it's probably magic.

Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
Is this the sweet sound that called the young sailors.
The voice might be one and the same.
I've heard it too many times to ignore it.
It's something that I'm supposed to be.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Accounting
I didn't puke on the accountant.

But I do have big dark eyerings.

Let's get this clear.
I got C+ for Financial Accounting
B- for Managerial Accounting.

So why am I doing my company's accounting???

Because everyone else here is an engineer.
Bad results >> Never take before

Later, folks
First and foremost,

DO NOT puke on the company accountant
(who's the main reason why you crawled up after 2.5hr of sleep with your hair still damp and feeling like crap, still trembling from the cold and excessive alcohol.)

I'd appreciate no comments on last night/this morning till I've puked. thank you.

[edit]
dammit lar. I'm still not sober yet.
GST I HATE YOU.

[edit edit]
wth. My jaw just emitted a really loud crack while I tried to bite my sandwich (i'm trying to keep the puke down by pushing more food in. don't ask me why)
I think I broke my jaw. hee haw.

[edit edit edit]
someone's very bored this morning, posting so many entries

this just in from my Brisbane colleagues. what good timing.
[not that i'm too lazy to resize. I CAN'T. Dunno why]

"Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink

I feel shame   Then I look into the glass and think

about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes

and dreams If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out

of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say

to myself, "It is better that I drink this wine and let their

dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."

~ Jack Handy

And saving the best for last, as explained by Cliff Clavin,

of Cheers. One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm.

Here's how it went:

"Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo

can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when

the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones

at the back that are killed first This natural selection is

good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the

regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the

slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we

know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

Key Elements
Went for the Lunchtime concert at the Esplanade today to listen to Jazz from the Movies, by Key Elements

They're another acapella group, much older this time.
They really proved that good arrangement and a solid bass note are key requirements for making the acapella performance great =)

Route 66, Rainbow Connections, 'S Wonderful, Accentuate the Positive, Fly Me to the Moon
I'm sure there were one or two more songs, but i can't quite remember them anymore =)
six songs or so set...Well, i guess there're only so many songs to sing in a 1/2hr set =)

In other news:
Welcome back, dajie.
It's refreshing having the old you back, after how that @!*#!@*) girl messed with your mind (this is not to say you are absolved from the blame of allowing your mind to be messed with like that, and pampering her until she steps all over you and twirls you around her middle finger and... i should stop here)

I missed the old you, dajie. I'm glad you're back =)
